The following is a timeline that we recently received from our agency. Our homestudy has not yet been submitted to CIS but we anticipate that happening within the next few weeks. You can get an idea of how long it will be before we get to bring her home after that occurs. Since we are waiting for a girl, the referral wait will probably not be 0 days but more like several weeks.
TIME ESTIMATES
Homestudy submitted to CIS to CIS approval (depends on state) 1-3 months
CIS approval (I-171H) to referral (depends on gender of baby): 0 days-several weeks
Referral to DNA authorization: 3 weeks-3 months
DNA-authorization to Embassy approval “consentamiento”: average 6 to 7 weeks
Consentamiento- PGN case submission: 1 week-3 weeks
PGN case submission- PGN approval (if there is no previo):7-11 weeks
Baby comes home!
