We heard today from David that Olga and Mazzi's DNA specimens have arrived in North Carolina. This is good news! Now it should be just a few days until we have the results. David indicated they have never received a negative result so we are fairly confident in this step of the process. He also thought we might get a picture of Olga holding Mazzi from the DNA test. We hope so!
Then our case can be submitted to the US Consulate for pre-approval. This process is currently taking 1-2 months. Then shortly after that we should enter PGN which is the last but typically most lengthy step. This could take only a few weeks (this is rare) or could take many months. We're hopeful it will only be a couple months at most.
We also received a very simple report today indicating that Mazzi visited a pediatrician on April 23rd so she was 1 month, 1 week at this appointment. She weighed 10.6lbs and was 21.9 inches long. She is taking 8-9 bottles per day of Similac Advance. And is reportedly holding her head up "for a while." The doctor indicated she has had no problems. That was pretty much all it said! It's never enough but we'll take what we can get. Oh and it also stated she wasn't sleeping through the night...we're missing that, shucks! We have to look at something on the bright side :)

So glad that Olga went through with the DNA testing! One more step forward in the process! Each day is another day closer to the day you will bring Mazzi home! Thinking about you so often! Sheila
