We're next!

On Friday, I spoke to our adoption coordinator and she had big news. We are next in line for a baby girl. She has no other families further along in the paperwork process than us! Unfortunately though, we are still not approved by Immigration Services, therefore, we could not yet accept a referral if a baby were born now. We are two weeks into the Immigration Services process and it is taking an estimated 10-12 weeks right now. So we are about 8-10 weeks from final approval. Then we could accept a referral and start receiving photos!!

Then the real wait begins...some families I have been reading about are traveling as quickly as 4 months while some are as long as 12 months after referral. It's hard to tell! Anyway, in about a month I will be sending an e-mail to Immigration Services to see if they are any closer to approving us...hopefully they will move along QUICKLY!!! Thanks for reading!
